Modernism.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see how broken our society is now in the 21st Century. Our current world is yapping, criticizing and deteriorating into pandemonium and contention. There is no doubt that that this movement has the potential to become an outbreak against authority, especially against: Christianity, God and Religion. One only has to look into the world of postmodernism.
Our society is deeply immersed in postmodernism. Modernism is an attempt by way of human discovery to recognize, distinguish, and interpret what is true. In today’s postmodern society, everything is considered relative and truth itself is regarded as variable or flexible. Anybody who subscribes to postmodernism gets to write their own reality and interpret their own truth without regard for anyone else.
No wonder that deception and betrayal are so defiant and prevalent today. If nothing is right or wrong then we are free to fabricate our own reality, then, no one can be sure of what is the real authentic truth. In postmodernism it is used to refer to a difficult situation that presents a lot of moral ambiguity, making it difficult to choose the right or moral course of action. Telling the truth is not cherished or considered morally correct anymore. Government, academia, media, business, and every human organization accept lying as a normal way of life.
Antagonistic opposition to the truth of the Bible and the gospel is an inevitable outcome of the postmodern mindset. The Bible’s message is absolute, just, and having no doubt or uncertainty as to divine truth. The Bible makes stipulations on believers that are counter-cultural to today’s society. The days of a seemingly peaceable act of existing together with the church have all but vanished. The world is in open resistance to Jesus Christ and the Holy Scriptures and is doing everything possible to eradicate the truth, promote lying, and to suppress people who preach or teach the Gospel of truth.
As in the days of Noah, people will be going about their business as usual in life oblivious of where this is all heading and what is going on in the world. We are indeed living in the days of the end.
Matthew 24:37-39 KJV
